Riverdale sweethearts Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse may have broken up (for now, anyway), but when one fan-favorite couple falls, another rises. Netflix’s Outer Banks stars Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline made their off-screen relationship Instagram official last night; the two play onscreen couple John B and Sarah Cameron. Their dating confirmation comes weeks after romance rumors between the two started in April.

Stokes, 27, did the honor of unveiling their relationship publicly to his millions of Instagram followers. “cats outta the bag ❤️” he captioned a shot of them picnicking together on the beach. In the second photo, Cline holds a bottle of wine.

She commented on his post, “Topper punching the air rn,” and “I’ve fallen and I cant get up.”

Cline and Stokes have been quarantining together along with some of their castmates during the coronavirus pandemic. Stokes’ flirty comments on Cline’s Instagrams in the past stirred rumors the two could be involved off-screen.

This is the first time Cline and Stokes have made any public remark about their relationship status, but Cline did talk to ELLE Canada in April about how she ended up quarantining with Stokes.

When asked how she was doing while quarantining, she said, “I’m good, hanging in there. Just staying inside and trying to stay sane.” Then she laughed. “Some of the cast [from Outer Banks] have been quarantined together for over a month now. It’s been a riot: we’ve been movie marathoning and binge-watching Jersey Shore and New Girl, we built a fort in my living room early on…we’ve been playing many games. All the games.”

Cline said their living together “is just a quarantine thing. At the very beginning, when stay-at-home orders were first issued, we all decided ‘Why not just quarantine together?’ We have each other’s company instead of just staying home completely isolated. We gave each other the time [away] as far as the initial incubation period is concerned, so we’re all safe and healthy.”
