Some provide nourishment to the hair, some volumizes, some brings shine and prevents hairfall due to breakage while some simply cleanses away all the dirt and grime accumulated in your hair and scalp.
Clarifying shampoos are from the last category. The scalp skin is as delicate as the facial skin. Unless they are in full healthy, problems like dandruff, itchiness or hair fall will bring havoc on your hair’s overall look and texture.

The packaging is very simplistic and fuss-free. In the back of the bottle there’s a label mentioning claims, usage details and ingredients.
Colour & Consistency: The Neem Sat shampoo is basically a gel based hair wash. Its bright green colour looks really pretty in the bottle. The consistency is thicker than regular gel based face and hair cleansers.

My Overall Thoughts
I do deep hair oiling and overnight hair oiling 2-3 times a week. Regular nourishing shampoos do not feel enough to wash off the stubborn residues of hair oil. Only purifying shampoos are able to break down the excess oil and other styling products from scalp and hair in one go.
Most clarifying shampoos use strong chemical cleansing agents like sulphates. These are not good for the hair and scalp in the long run. So, I generally keep some herbal clarifying shampoo ready at hand. The Neem Sat Hair Cleanser contains reetha extract to produce that heavy-duty hair cleansing effect.
I have been using this for some years now. The shampoo makes my hair squeaky clean in 1-2 washes. But, at times it feels pretty drying. A conditioner is always needed to restore the moisture balance of my hair. Otherwise the hair feels lifeless and tangled; no silky or shiny feel as promised in the claims.
My scalp gets all sweaty in humid weather and I get a very bad itchy feel. This shampoo reduces the itchiness to some extent. Though in severe cases I have to use medicated dandruff shampoos.
In my opinion, this is not a daily use shampoo. But, it is a needed product in my stash to deep cleanse my scalp from time to time.
