Today I am going to share my views on Faces Canada Purple Tiara Weightless Matte Lipstick . Ever since bullet lipsticks and semi matte formula returned back in the current lip trends list, every brand is launching their own version of affordable matte.
The Weightless Matte Finish Lipstick is Faces canada’s tribute to this happening lip trend. Liquid matte lipsticks are something that I adore but you can’t use their all matte formula every single day.
Creamy mattes or simple matte bullet lip colours are better for this purpose. Let’s dig deeper into Faces Canada Weightless Matte Finish Lipstick Purple Tiara to see if it could secure its place in my favourites list or not!
About Faces Canada Purple Tiara Weightless Matte Lipstick
Faces Canada Weightless Matte Finish Lipstick comes in plush color rich formula with ultra light-weight pigments. So now you know from where your favourite product get its name! Light and easy in application at really pocket-friendly prices.
Faces Canada brings to you Weightless Matte Finish Lipstick in 15 impeccable shades enriched with almond, jojoba and vitamin E oil. This lipstick has ultra light weight pigments with Plush colour rich formula that offers high color payoff even in a single stroke.
Packaging: This lipstick comes in a black matte bullet. At bottom of the bullet, there is a sticker mentioning the shade name. Other than shade name, manufacturing and expiry dates, this handy bullet contains no other information.
Shade & Pigmentation: The shade Purple Tiara is a purple based pink. The shade looks blue based fuchsia on deeper complexions but on my lips this takes a mauvy pink tone.
This is the most wearable fuchsia colour in my collection. It does not have neon tones like bright pinks. The pigmentation is medium to buildable. For my medium pigmented lips, the true colour comes in single swipe.
Those who have more pigmented lips than mine will have the desired colour in 2-3 swipes.
Texture & Staying Power: The texture of this Weightless Matte Finish lipstick is smooth. It doesn’t have cream-to-matte kind of formula. It is a proper matte lipstick.
You might have to work a little hard in winter time as the formula gets drier with cold weather. This is a perfect summer-friendly formulation. The matte formula feels light on the lips. it stays on for 4-5 hours in my case.
Fragrance: It has a light floral fragrance. The fragrance does not linger long. You can’t even get a tress of fragrance just a few minutes after applying his on your lips.
I don’t like heavy lingering fragrance in lip products other than lip glosses. For me, this low intensity smell works.
Quantity & Price: This weightless matte lipstick sells at Rs.299 and you get 4gm of product for that. Be it a bullet one or liquid one, proper matte finish lipsticks are costly.
Considering the quality aspect, this almost kiss-proof matte lipstick is quite a value for money product.
My Overall Thoughts
I love matte neon fuchsia lipsticks. To me, bold pinks bring a festive cheery vibe to my makeup look. I mostly go light with the eyes so statement lips work wonders. I bought Faces Canada Purple Tiara Weightless Matte shade after watching a handful of online reviews and pictures.
I expected it to be a blue based bright pink but it turned out to be a muted fuchsia on my lips. I am not saying I dislike the colour but it’s more suitable as a daytime pink on me. Coming to the formula, I heard this weightless range has variety in the formula. Some are more matte than the rest. This particular shade is among those true matte ones.
At first, the lipstick felt quite hard. I had to use force while applying. But, after a few uses the formula became softer and easier to work with. The true matte finish feels very light on the lips. I highly recommend a good lip balm and proper lip exfoliation before applying this. Otherwise, it will highlight every crease of your lip.
The formula and the price are great. The shade range is wide too. This Purple Tiara shade is good for those who like fuchsia lipsticks but don’t want to go bold neon for the lips.
